USA Science and Engineering Festival
Over the course of the weekend, we interacted with over 15,000 students, parents, teachers and members of the public. Visitors to our booth explored our hands on science experiments, learned about Colorado State University and science in general in our unique Little Shop way. Feedback was extremely positive. Several folks commented that Little Shop of Physics was their favorite exhibit at the entire Festival!
The Little Shop of Physics spent 3 days in Washington DC taking part in the USA Science and Engineering Festival. This free, biannual public event attracts hundreds of thousands of people to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to learn and teach about science. April 2016 was our second time taking part in the National Science Foundation booth at the Festival.
Little Shop of Physics developed 60 hands on science experiments specifically for this event. These versions of our class projects are small and lightweight, and the entire exhibit was packed into suitcases in order to be brought to Washington DC. We plan to use these extremely transportable experiments for events far and wide.
