Show Me Some Science! Stayin’ Alive
This week we are working on an awesome podcast to show the speed of sound. Check out this quick little teaser to tide you over until we’re done editing.
A speaker playing a song is set up near the front of the line. Folks are asked to dance disco to the music with their eyes closed. However, sound travels around 330 m/s, so the person at the back of the line hears the music later than the person in the front. For this setup, it’s about a 0.1 second delay. Stay tuned to see this with a more noticeable delay next week!
