Every August, Colorado State University welcomes new students and their families. Ram Welcome is a series of formal and informal events to orient folks to this amazing community. Little Shop of Physics is proud to take part in this annual tradition.

The LSOP Crew kicked kicked things off on Thursday by hosting a group of 25 incoming students from Amplify Tech. Amplify is an on-campus residential community for students from diverse backgrounds who share an interest in STEM education. The students took a bicycle tour of campus which started at their dorm building and took them to the Little Shop of Physics Workshop and Engagement Spaces.

Later that day we hosted an informal session with a crop of 10 new undergraduate physics majors.

Finally, we finished out the week on Friday evening with Ramapalooza, a street fair for all incoming CSU students and their families. LSOP set up at the Lory Student Center Sculpture Garden with some of our favorite large scale demos, including fog rings and the giant chair illusion. We also handed over 300 UV bracelets to the participants.
